The wife of the late Lt. Col. Carl L. West Jr., USAF (ret.), she was born in Dividing Creek and was the daughter of the late Nestor and Melanie Hrysckak Burke.
Originally from Millville, she was a member of the Berean Baptist Temple in Bridgeton. Mrs. West loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and most recently, a great grandmother.
She is survived by one son, Carl L. West III of Hopewell Twp., one daughter, Mary Ann Cooper and her husband Bob of Williamstown, one granddaughter, Heather Redfield and her husband Brian of Barrington and one great granddaughter, Brooklynn Redfield. She was predeceased by daughter, Carol Patricia West, infant twin daughters, Amy and Susan and her brother, Harry Burke and sister, Anna Barton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the FREITAG FUNERAL HOME, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton with Pastor Kenneth Scovell of the Berean Baptist Temple officiating. The burial will take place at the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home.
