My beloved Mother-in-Law
Mabel Lee Wigginton was the best mother-in-law anyone could ever ask for. She was born on October 12, 1911 in Mooresville, Washington County, KY to William Burnett Wall and Maude Yancey Wall. She was their only daughter and she had one older brother James William, called J.W. Mabel's mother died when she was 13 years old and she was raised by her aunts in Springfield, KY and Bloomfield, KY. Her father, William Burnett, died in Louisville on January 18, 1956.
Mabel attended Bloomfield High School and sometime around 1932 married Joseph Edward Wigginton, also of Bloomfield. They became the parents of William Edward, born in Bloomfield, KY on October 2, 1933, Margaret Yancey born in Bloomfield, KY on August 25,1935 (d. 11/1/2013) and Robert Eugene born in Louisville, KY on June 9,1938

In late 1935 or early 1936, the family moved to Louisville where they lived for many years. Her spouse, Joseph Edward Wigginton is buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Evansville, IN.
