Ogden, Utah - Eugene Elwood Dickson, age 65, of Ogden, passed away April 23, 2014 in Ogden. He was born October 26, 1948 in Ogden, a son of Eugene Thomas and Olive Dora Bosley Dickson.

He graduated from wEber High School, Class of 1967.

Gene married Tonya Sue McLendon, April 25, 1970 in Ogden. They were later divorced. He married Connie Ray Syddall, July 18, 2000 in Ogden.

He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings. Gene enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, working on cars, welding and fixing air planes.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Raye Syddall Dickson of Ogden; 10 children: Echo Valiene Dickson and Brandon Clay Dickson, both of Brigham City; Kandyce Lynne Dickson, Bobbi Swanson and April Spencer, all of Ogden; Kathy and Walt Roberts of Marysvale; Dottie and Hector Patel of Richfield; Travis and Jamie Ames of Monroe; Misty and Jim Garlick of Saratoga Springs; Kody and April Spencer of American Fork; 33 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way; and 1 sister: Carrie and Dan Rawlings of Layton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Ritchie Dickson; a daughter: Jennifer Lee Dickson and a granddaughter, Samantha Brown.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, 140 South Main Street in Monroe, Utah, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Howes Family Cemetery in Marysvale, Utah under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
