LUKE EMOND

Luke D. Emond, 68
, of 2312 Roosevelt Ave., Two Rivers, a retired Mirro
Aluminum Co. Plant No. 1 employee, died early Monday morning at the
Two Rivers Municipal Hospital where he had been a patient a week.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Klein & Stangel Inc.,
Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two
Rivers, the Rev. T.F. Stern officiating. Burial will be in Pioneers'
Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Emond was born April 9, 1897, at Lena, Wis., son of the late George
and Ida Ruelle Emond
. When he was a child the family brought him to
Niagara, Wis., and during World War 1 the family moved to Two Rivers.
He was an employee of the Mirro firm since his residence at Two Rivers
and retired in 1962. He was a member of the 25 - Year Club of the Mirro
company. He married the former Hilda Bernhardt at Two Rivers June 22, 1919.
She preceded him in death 10 years ago.
Surviving are four sons, a sister, Mrs. Sylvester Schmitt, of Rt. 2, Two
Rivers; four brothers, Aaron, David, and Everett, of Two Rivers and Kenneth,
of Philadelphia, Pa., and eight grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother
preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The marriage of Miss Hilda Bernhardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Bernhardt and Luke Emond, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Emond took place
Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church. Attending couples were
George Bernhardt and Miss Esther Lauber and Victor Emond and Miss
Dorothy Tegge.
