Roger C. Brewer, 64, died Oct. 31, 2011, at the VA Medical Facility in West Palm Beach. He was born in Ohio and lived in Okeechobee for 35 years, coming from Ohio. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and three Bronze Stars.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Nancy Brewer; son, Danny Brewer of Okeechobee; daughters, Carla Sapp and Sandra Bass, both of Okeechobee; brother, Terry Brewer of Ohio; sisters, Freida Bays and Viola Long, both of Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
