Charles Franklin "Chuck" Shannon, 81, a former associate manager with Western-Southern Life Insurance, died on June 11, 2008 at his residence. He also represented and retired in 1989 from the American General Life Insurance Company. Born in Stryker, Ohio, he was a son of Elmer and Matilda (Mack) Shannon and was a graduate of Defiance (Ohio) High School where he was an all state football player in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Saint Leo Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Donald Shannon, and two sisters, Mildred Borton and Betty Shannon. He is survived by his wife of more than fifty-eight years, a daughter, two sons, two grandchildren, three brothers, and a sister. Funeral: June 14, 2008 at Saint Leo Catholic Church. Arrangements: Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, Versailles, Kentucky.
