Mrs. Bertha Louise , 73, of 809 S. Washington st., passed away at her residence yesterday afternoon following an extended illness.
Mrs. Cole had been a resident of this district for the past 39 years. She was a native of Denver, Colo. and had been an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the past 43 years.
She is survived by her husband, Howard H. Cole, retired Lodi farmer. She was the sister of Mrs. Etta Clark of Lodi; and Mrs. Elizabeth Scharnitske, of Modesto; sister-in-law of Mrs. Thirza Cole of Lodi; Robert R. Cole of Oakland; and Clifford Cole of Alberton, ot.
She also leaves the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. J.S. Abbott, of Lodi; Howard Clark, of Lodi; William Clark, of Modesto; Emile Cole, of Los Gatos; Burton Cole, of Oakland; Harold Cole, of Albertson, Mont.; O.H. Cole, of Wisconsin; Mrs. Joan Snowden, of Modesto; Emile Scharnitske, of Georgia; and Edwin and George Schuler, also of Georgia.
