Nora Ellen Campbell passed from this life on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at the age of 82. She was born to Martin and Myrtle Jackson Sims on Oct. 16, 1921, in Osage, Ark.
Ellen moved from Berryville, Ark. to Wichita, Kan., where she met Wesley Canpbell and they were married on Feb. 8, 1956. Ellen was employed with Wichita and Boeing Airline Aircraft Manufacturing until her injury on the job forced her retirement. Ellen then left for Oklahoma with her husband and settled in Barber Community, where they built their home.
Ellen was a homemaker, loved to bowl, made many crochet and knitted items and was a member of South College Church of Christ.
Preceeding Ellen in death are her brothers; Sam and Lawrence Sims; and her parents.
Ellen is survived by her husband, Wesley, of the home; a sister Julia Taylor, of Hanford, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Ollie (Jerry) Thornton of Wichita, Kan.,Letha (Roy) Marris of Ardmore, and Mary Campbell of Welling; brothers-in-law, Charles Campbell of Irving, Texas, and John and Darrel Campbell of Welling. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Ellen will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family requests donations be made to the South College Church of Christ.
