Lenora W. Francis, 77, of Norborne, MO died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Carroll House in Carrollton, MO. Lenora was born on January 16, 1937 in West Plains, MO to Carl and May (Grisham) Westmoreland. She married Bobbie Dale "Bob" Francis of Norborne on August 12, 1956; he preceded her in death on June 14, 2005. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James D. and Cathy Francis of Norborne and Jeff S. and Harriet Francis of Columbia, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie S. (Francis)Harper and John Harper of Carrollton; one brother, Russell Westmoreland of Kirksville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen Jo and Dick Schoonover of Kirksville, MO; four grandchildren, Tyler Francis and his wife, Retha, Adam Francis and his fiancé, Jordan Perry, Lacey (Harper)Warren and her husband, Edward, Jared Harper and Hannah Mayden; and three great-grandchildren, Kaden and Ryan Francis and Porter Warren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lenora was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Hicks. Lenora was a 1955 graduate of Norborne High School. She was a rural mail carrier for 24 years before retiring in 2004. She was a member of the Norborne Garden Club and the Missouri Rural Mail Carriers Association. Lenora loved to read. She was a member of the Norborne First Baptist Church. She had lived in the Norborne area most of her life. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Norborne Garden Club, H.E.L.P. Services of Carrollton, or the American Cancer Society.
