Ralph Rother Wales was born in Buffalo, NY to Vincent Eugene Wales and Mildred C. Rother Wales. He was their 2nd child out of 3.

Ralph was a member and Past Master of the Emulation Lodge # 1022 F. & A.M. and a member and past treasure of Pendleton Lyons Club, Pendleton, NY.

He went to Buffalo Technical High School & Erie County Community College for his education. Picture taking for family & friends and history were his hobbies.

Ralph was an Ice Cream Delivery man for Dairylea for almost 30 years.

Around 1986 Ralph, his wife, son, and dog Daisy moved from Buffalo, NY to Jacksonville, FL for better weather and a fresh start.

After moving to Jacksonville, FL. Ralph became a secruity guard for JEA (Jacksonville Electric Authority) where he maintained the access control for trucks at the JEA facility. He also loved to feed the cats at work everyday and would buy deli meat and cheese, take his time cutting it all up and, then take it to work for the cats. He loved caring for the wild cats at work. Once his grandson got into the fridge, and he was about 2 years old. He found the cut up deli meat and cheese and he began to eat it. Ralph was like "no don't eat that, that's cat food." Really there wasn't anything wrong with it. It was just funny.

Ralph enjoyed going grocery shopping every other day, cooking, and cleaning. He often liked to take his son to College and drop him off, even tho his wife would get aggravated and say he was a big boy he can drive himself. Ralph felt the need to baby his son up until he passed away.

One of Ralph's often said words were "Geez." He loved watching Archie Bunker and older movies & shows. I remember one of his son's friends used to tease him about his middle name Rother and he used to get so flustered about it. I don't think Ralph ever liked his middle name.

Ralph was preceded in death by both of his parents. He was, survived by his wife, 2 brothers, 1 son, and grandson. As of 2003 there was a granddaughter born.

Ralph was a wonderful man that liked to get over excited at times. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
