ABILENE--The funeral for William G. Noland, 9, longtime Abilene truck farmer, will be at 2 pm Friday at the Martin funeral home here, the Rev. Norman Walter officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in the Abilene cemetery.
Mr. Noland, 709 E. Elm, Salina, died Tuesday at St. John's hospital, Salina, after a long illness. He was born Oct.28, 189, at Longford. He moved to the Abilene area in the 1920s. He moved to Salina in 1969.
He was a veteran of World War 1 and was associated with the Trinity Lutheran church, Salina, to which the family suggests memorials be sent.
Surviving are the widow, Alinda, of the home; a son, Billy D., Abilene; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Bartlett, Abilene RFD 4; a stepson, Earl Wohler, Brookville; 4 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
