Linda Sue Meloy

Linda Sue Meloy daughter of the late Reva Ethel Statler Bangert and Edgar Herbert Bangert was born at Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on January 25, 1949. She departed this life at her home in Farmington, Missouri, on May 5, 2014, at the age of 65 years, three months and 10 days.

On June 8, 1974 in Greenville, Missouri, Linda was united in marriage to Donald Richard Meloy and to this union two sons were born. Linda graduated from Patton High School, Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. Linda taught school for Southern Reynolds County R-II for 20 years, Greenville R-II School for three years and Centerville R-I for two years. Her hobbies included quilting, reading, working crossword puzzles, watching television and she loved to cook. Linda's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her husband, Donald Meloy of Farmington, Missouri, two sons, Brian Richard Meloy and wife Melissa of Centerville, Missouri, Matthew Edgar Meloy of Centerville, Missouri, three grandchildren, Brennen, Austin and Scotlynn, and one sister, Marie L. Tuschhoff and husband Harlan of Sedgewickville, Missouri. Linda will be deeply missed by her family and a host of friends who will mourn her passing.

Visitation: Wednesday, May 7th 4 to 8 PM

Funeral Services: Thursday, May 8th 10:30 AM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Missouri

Minister: Marvin Richards

Burial: Redford Memorial Cemetery

Pallbearers: Doug Rainwater, Kevin Rainwater, Steve Meloy, Brian Meloy, Sam Wilson and Todd Meloy.
Honorary Pallbearers: Rich Bangert, David Bangert, Ed Luehrs.
