Amil M. Krieger, 86, of route two, Saranac and former resident of Ionia, died
Wednesday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital, where he was admitted
Tuesday. He had been ill two years.
He was born August 4, 1877 in Ionia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Krieger and
lived his early life in Orange township. He was married in 1903 to Gertrude
Schwenter and made their home at 320 Johnson street until the death of Mrs.
Krieger in 1949 when he went to live with his daughter, Mrs. Alyn Harte of
Saranac.
Mr. Krieger was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church and a charter member of
Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by a son, Lawrence Krieger of Ludington; one daughter, Mrs.
Isabelle Harte of Saranac; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 Thursday evening at Myers funeral home and
funeral Mass will be at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church at 9 a.m. Friday.
Burial will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
