Helen DorseyPaul Eugene Dorsey was born to Charles Vernon Dorsey and Emma Rose (Engle) Dorsey on October 19, 1902, in Terre Haute, Indiana. Paul became a mortician and owned Dorsey Funeral Homes in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Paul married Holland Josephine Fitch on July 1, 1925, in Vigo County, Indiana. Their only child, Charles Paul Dorsey, had two children with his first wife Delores: Michael Paul and Nancy Lynne. With his second wife Maria Elena Bazzone, he had another son, Evan, who died shortly after birth, and two more daughters, Brenna and Chandra.

Holland, who died in 1984, arranged for a double headstone near her parents in Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis where she is buried, while Paul is entombed in a crypt with his parents nearby in Washington Park Cemetery.

Paul later married Helen E. Thomas, who survived him as well as his remaining four grandchildren.
