Clara J. Kroening, age 102, of the Calumet Homestead, formerly of Brillion, was called to home to live with her Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2008.

She was born on July 14, 1905, in Reedsville, daughter of the late Otto & Anna (Boelk) Dickert.

On April 23, 1924, she married Hubert Kroening at Reedsville. Clara and her husband farmed in the town of Maple Grove until moving to Brillion.

She was a lifelong member of St. John, St. James Lutheran church in Reedsville and an honorary member of the Ladies Aid.

Survivors include two daughters, Doris Bergelin of Chilton, Janet (Eugene) Buboltz of Brillion; two daughters-in-law; Margaret Kroening of Brillion, Loretta Kroening of Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Rose Kroening of Kaukauna; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert in 1968; two sons, Harlan Kroening and Donal Kroening; a son-in-law, Melvin Bergelin; two grandsons, Randy Kroening and Scott Buboltz; a brother, Leonard Dickert, and a sister, Vila Seefeldt.

Funeral services will be at St. John St. James Lutheran church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.
