Florence Eva Sluiter of Cadillac died Tuesday 06 Jan 2009 at Lakeview Lutheran Manor Nursing Home in Cadillac, just 10 days before her 103rd birthday. Survivors included her children, John & Barb Sluiter, Martin & Naomi Sluiter, Dean & Lori Sluiter, Arlene & Bob Small, Phyllis Greeley and Sandra Cole, all of Cadillac, Wayne & Mary Sluiter of Lake City, and Carol & John Rolf of Grand Rapids; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert Marvin of Sparta; 1 sister, Dorothy Kellogg of Caledonia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, McClellan 'Max' Marvin, Charlie Marvin, Selby Marvin, Harvey 'Pete' Marvin, and Frank Marvin; and 3 sisters, Myra Mitchell, Josephine Christiansen and Virginia Wing.
Visitation was 6-8 pm Friday 09 Jan 2009 at Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. Funeral services were 2 pm Saturday 10 Jan 2009 at Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor Christian Martin officiating.
Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac. Memorial contributions were to be directed to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church or to Mercy Hospice.
