Mrs. ELIZA AKIN BAXTER, consort of Mr. T. W. Baxter and daughter of Hon. Warren Akin, of this place, after a long and painful illness died on Monday night at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Baxter was a most estimable lady, idolized by friends and relatives and the community in which she lived, her remains were interred in Oak Hill cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. A. J. Jarrell, performing the funeral ceremonies.
