He was born on January 28, 1951 in Athens, Ala., to Andrew and Willadene Craig Hardaway, both of whom preceded him in death.
On July 26, 1996 in Quincy, Ill., he married Linde Henry Hardaway, who survives in Quincy.
Also surviving is his nephew, Kristopher Hardaway of Portage, Ind., nieces Kelsi Van Wormer and Kadie Van Wormer of Portage, sister-in-law Starla (John "Jacko") Van Wormer of Portage, mother-in-law Lenora Henry Iwan of Porter, Ind., sister-in-law Peggy Hardaway of Elk Grove, Calif., cousins Gayle and Ross Smith of Athens, Ala., as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim Hardaway.
Larry formerly worked as manager at Gardner Denver in Quincy. He was an avid baseball and softball fan and participant.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. from the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St. Chesterton, Ind. Burial will be at the Chesterton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Scleroderma Foundation, 134 North LaSalle St. #1360, Chicago, IL, 60602.
