Elmer was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Two Rivers, son of the late Rudolph and Blanche (Peronto) Kaminsky. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, class of 1939. Elmer served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Feb. 9, 1946 he married the former Leona Doncheck at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Elmer was employed as a foreman at Hamilton Manufacturing, Two Rivers, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and VFW of Two Rivers, a former member of the Hamilton Management Club and the Two Rivers Senior Center.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Kaminsky, Manitowoc; one daughter, Jane Kaminsky, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Mary Kaminsky, Two Rivers; one grandson, Christopher Kaminsky, Two Rivers; one brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Eunice Kaminsky, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Richie; six sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law, Angeline and Eli Malfroid, Cecelia and Adolph Fronk, Beatrice and Earl Wagner, Martha and Bill Cornils, Marcella
and Bill Luchterhand and Victor and Mabel Doncheck.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien. Military rites will he accorded at church by the VFW/American Legion Posts of Two Rivers. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9 am. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman-Holy Redeemer site, Two Rivers, on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004.
The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two River, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
