Alice Amelia Eaton was born April 02, 1852 in Cortland, New York, where she resided with her parents until she was 14 years of age when they moved to Dixon, Illinois where she grew to womenhood and in the year of 1869 on January 25, she was united in marriage to James E. Beebe. To this union was born 5 children, three sons, two daughters, two of them have preceeded their mother to the great beyond. Frankie having died in infancy and Harry at the age of 10. On October 08, 1895 the husband and father died.
On July 30, 1908 at Vermillion, S.D. she was united in marriage to Ellis White of Riverside, Clay County, where she has since resided until her death which occurred November 21, 1910 at the age of 58 years, 7 monthes and 79 days.
There remains a husband, two daughters and a son to mourn the death of a kind wife and loving mother. The son is Charles F. Beebe of Oregon, Ill. and the daughters are Lettie A. Mon of Grandetour, Ill. and Agnes ? Montgonery of Humbolt, S.D. She also leaves four sisters and one brother. Mrs. White was a faithful christain and a church member for the past 20 years. At the time of her death she belonged to the Friends Church of Grandetour, Ill.
It was her request that her remains be placed in the family lot at Grandetour, Ill. beside her children and husband.
Mrs. White was always kind and thoughtful, bringing good cheer to all who met her.
Funeral services were held at this home last Thursday morning. Rev. F.J. Tresidder of the Wakonda Cong'l church officiating
