Eugene Anderson, 79, of Advance died April 11, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 7, 1924, in Joppa, IL, son of Harvey and Grace (Harris) Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was an over-the-road truck driver 56 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Anderson of Advance, Doug Anderson of Scott City; two daughters, Tori Miller of Whitewater, Susan Andrews of Chaffee, MO; a stepson, Ricky Nance of Chaffee; three stepdaughters, Pam Martin of Delta, Cindy Stroder of Oak Ridge, Christi Montgomery of Zalma, MO; two sisters, Kathleen Laird of Joppa, Joyce Windhorst of Johnston City, IL; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Graveside service is today at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Rev. John Tolbert will officiate. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
