Jose Efren Pino - Pueblo Chieftain - May 30, 2000 - Jose Efren Pino, 83, of Pueblo, passed away May 28, 2000. Born on June 7, 1916, in Mora, N.M. Preceded in death by his parents, Luis E. and Emilia Cordova Pino; his wife, Clorinda G. Pino; two brothers, Canuto Montoya and Arturo Pino; and one sister, Vera Martinez. Jose served in the U.S. Army three years and seven months during World War II with the 90th Infantry Division with the 3rd Army in the Invasion of France until the war ended in Czechoslovakia. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and Rockies baseball. Viewing, 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Romero Chapel. Vigil rosary, 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Saturday. Both services at St. Anne Church, Rev. James Friel, celebrant. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Relatives and friends will be received at St. Anne Church Hall after the interment.
