AZLE - Delma Henri Spann, 80, a retired quality control engineer, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at an Azle health care center.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Chapel. Burial: Azleland Memorial Park.

Mr. Spann had been a resident of the area for over 59 years and in the Azle area since 1969. He retired from General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin in 1978 with 36 years of service. He was a 50-year Mason and a member of Tarrant Lodge #942 A.F. & A.M. and Fort Worth Scottish Rite and a member of First Baptist Church of Lakeside. He was an outdoors person who enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and "jeeping" in the mountains of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Pearl Segelquist.
Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Helen Irene Spann; son, Leslie James Spann; daughters, Delma Irene Thomas and Wanda K. Taylor; brothers, H.O. "Buddy" Spann, Jimmy Durr Spann and John Edgar Spann; sisters, Dorothy Bea Jones, Virginia Spann Holmes, Jean Spann Driver and Kathy Jean Miller; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family.
