Joseph A. Piasecki, 81, resident of Warren for 50 years, died Friday, July 3, 1998, at his home. He was born April 8, 1917, in Flat River, MO.
Mr. Piasecki was a retired truck driver for U.S. Lumber. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 458 and a five-time past commander of American Legion Post 385 in St. Clair Shores, where he also served as finance officer for 45 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was on various committees for Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his brother Chester of Clinton Township; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot, Roseville, with Deacon James Pallerito officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
Visitation is 2:30-9 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. American Legion Ritual service, and 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
