Shirley was the youngest of two children born to Max Rhybern and Gladys (Lawrence) Rohrscheib. She married Glen Martin in 1942 and they had one son: Gary Sanford.

Shirley Martin

Shirley Blondell Martin of Eugene died Sept. 11 at age 80. Her family chose not to list the cause of death. Martin was born Oct. 14, 1919 in Seattle to Max and Gladys Lawrence Rohrscheib. She married Glenn Martin in Georgia in 1942. He died Feb. 8, 1991. She graduated from high school and attended college for two years. She moved from Southern California to this area in 1981. She worked as a bookkeeper and real estate broker. Martin enjoyed golf, billiards, traveling, and the arts. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Survivors include a son, Gary of Grapevine, Texas, and five grandchildren. No service is planned. West Lawn Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
