Gottlieb Presler was born in South Russia on March 1, 1865, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Presler. Gottlieb and Christina Gumke were married in Russia in 1885. Christina died in 1895. Gottlieb married Johanna Gumke in 1896. She died in 1900. He married Rosina Hindermith in 1900 and came to America in 1902. They homesteaded south of Gackle, where they have lived since. He was a member of the Jacob Gaminda Lutheran Church. Sons: John, Gust, Gottleb, Rheinhold, Gottfried; Daughters, Mrs., RE Horst and Mrs. Horst; and his wife, Rosina;
