She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Red, on March 17, 2003; a son, James Rector, Jr.; two brothers, Howard and Raymond Webb; and three sisters, Thelma Webb, Rosie Gregory, and Gertie Webb.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Seaton, and her husband, Harvey, of Macks Creek, Missouri; two sons, Larry Rector, and his wife, Linda, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Lee Rector, Sr., and his wife, Jeanne, of Macks Creek, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Gerry Rector, of Camdenton, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Cora Cyrept, of Independence, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a lifelong resident of Camden County, Missouri. After she and Red were married, they made their home in the Camdenton area and lovingly raised their children. Throughout the years, Dorothy was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family.

Dorothy made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of the Myetta Missionary Baptist Church.

In her spare time she enjoyed fishing with her husband, sewing, gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and going to garage sales. She and Red enjoyed doing wood crafts together, which they sold throughout the country. He did the sawing and cutting and she did the painting. Her family was very important to her and she greatly enjoyed being a grandmother.

Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.
