Patrick Cashman, Sr. died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at Laurelton Village Nursing Home, Brick. He was 85. Born in Ireland, he resided in Old Bridge with his wife Rosemary, where together they raised their family. Prior to retiring in 1989, he was an electrician for Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corp., Jersey City, where he worked for 35 years. Mr. Cashman was a former communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge and the Knights of Columbus.
He was predeceased by a son, John. Surviving are his 2 sons, James Cashman and his wife Mary of Brick, and Patrick Cashman, Jr. and his wife Marilyne of Monroe Township; 5 daughters, Brenda Fox and her husband Larry of Jackson, Cora Cashman of Melbourne, FL, Katherine O'Connell of Clifton, Nina Thompson and her husband Michael of Brick, and Pauline Cashman of Edison; 18 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, 8:15AM in The Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
