A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Taylor and Mora Rathbone. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Luther Burrell, and an infant son, George William Burrell. Ethel loved her family, working in her garden and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Ellis Burrell and his wife, Traci; four daughters, Peggy Donaldson, Sharon Pace, Kathy Stokely and her husband, Fred all of Clyde and Mary Ellen Locklear of Canton; two stepdaughters; a stepson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Barry Clark and Reverend Chris Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road.
