David Leo Bellmard Age 83 of Howell passed away at his home Wednesday evening April 30, 2014. He was born on June 20, 1930 in Newkirk, OK the son of William and Lois (Powell) Bellmard. On May 17, 1958, he married Joanne E. Ellis in Winton, NC.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, David was honorably discharged as a Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service. After retirement, he worked at the Post Office in Brighton for 8 years. He was a member of St. George Lutheran Church of Brighton the American Legion and was an avid fisherman, golfer, and hunter.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 50 years, Joanne, are his daughter, Sally Bozyk; son-in-law, Gary Bozyk; grandchildren: Jason, David, Michelle and his sister, Patsy Moses. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kellie Jo, a grandson Stephen, and by his brother Jack.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 5, 2014 at St. George Lutheran Church, Brighton. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Brighton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Keehn Funeral Home, Brighton. Friends may visit at the church after 10:00 A.M. on Monday.
