WATERBURY — Mr. Michael Reuben Franks, age 57, of Waterbury, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Waterbury Hospital.

Mr. Franks, born in Waterbury on Oct. 11, 1956, is the son of the late Charlie and Jennie (Toudle) Franks. He was employed nearly 25 years at Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, serving as a plant supervisor in his latter years. He was a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Waterbury and was an avid golfer.

Mr. Franks is survived by a daughter, Michelle Franks of Waterbury; one sister, Ethel Franks of Waterbury; one brother, Archie Franks of Copperas Cove, Texas; one granddaughter, Michaela Peters; special aunts and uncle, Laura Chapman, Pearlie Andrews, Clara Andrews and Walter Andrews; his special friend, Amy K. Reader of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl St., Waterbury. Burial will be in Waterbury's New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the church on Wednesday May 14, 2014, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
