MRS. AMANDA M. BANNISTER DIES FRIDAY EVENING
Was Born In Green Bay, Wis.; Came To This Community Four Years Ago -
Mrs. Amanda M. Bannister, 83, passed away at about 6:30 last evening, after an illness of the past two weeks. She had been in falling health for some time, but had been seriously ill only for the past fortnight. She was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in 1852, and was married to Martin W. Bannister in 1868. To this union were born three daughters. Lila M. Noland of Spokane, Washington, Roberta M. Ingersoll, who passed away in 1926, and Clare Lindquist Mead, of this city, with whom Mrs. Bannister was residing at the time of her death. She spent most of her life in Green Bay and in Spokane, Washington, but came here four years ago to make her home with Mrs. Mead. Surviving to mourn their loss, in addition to her daughters, are two brothers and two sisters in Pensacola, Fla., and one brother in Texas, several grandchildren, one of whom is Mrs. John B. Lewis of this city, and several great-grandchildren. Her husband died here in 1921. Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Mrs. Mead, with Dr. S. C. Parsons officiating. Interment will be in the mausoleum at Forest Home cemetery.
