Brother of James Edward Ruffin, Missouri Representative to Congress from 1933-1935 and afterward Special Apointee to the US Attorney General. Brahan Ruffin never married. After his family moved from Tennessee to the Springfield area of Missouri, he became a truck driver for his father's livery company.
