"Yesterday morning at the home of his parents, 59 1/2 Lansing St., occurred the death of Chauncey Carelon Caryl. Mr. Caryl had been in ill health some time. He was born Aug. 21, 1869, and for eight years past has been a resident of Whitesboro. He was employed as a finisher in the furniture factory in Whitesboro, and was an industrious and competent workman. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of New York Mills. Besides his parents, Mr. Caryl is survived by a wife and two children, Russell, aged six years , and Silas, aged three years; also one brother, A. Silas Caryl, and five sisters, Mrs. David Lloyd, Mrs. Thomas C. Redmond, Ada, Jennie and Bessie Caryl, all of Utica. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon in Whitesboro."
