A memorial Mass will be held at noon Saturday for Bernardo Puente Hernandez 88, of Brownsville, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. He died June 7, 1995 at AMI Brownsville Medical Center. He was a Brownsville native and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vicenta P. Hernandez.
Survivors include his wife, Consuelo Hernandez of Brownsville; two cousins Jose Puente Sr. of Brownsville and Jesus Puente of Corpus Christi; and other relatives.
Private graveside services were held June 9, 1995, at Brownsville City Cemetery.
