Brought to Old Home for Burial.

The body of Mrs. A. B. Chubbock (sic. Aaron B. Chubbuck), nee Julia McLane, who died at Chamberlain, S. D., the 27th ult., was brought to this city for interment. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Smith Friday morning, conducted by Rev. Thos. Osborn. Mr. Smith had accompanied Mr. Chubbock on the sad journey from Chamberlain. Mrs. Thos. McLane, the aged mother, Mrs. J. H. Nyenhuis, a sister, with her daughter Clara of Chicago, and Robert McLane, a brother who lives at Cedar Rapids, were present at the funeral.

Mrs. Chubbock was born at Granville, Vt., November 14th, 1872, and removed with her parents to Mt. Vernon, this state, seven years later. The family came to this city in 1892, when Miss McLane assumed the care of four motherless children of a brother, John McLane. She was married here June 6th, 1906, and removed at once to Chamberlain. Her life was one of arduous labor and self-sacrifice, and, just when the prospect seemed brightest for her it seems peculiarly sad that she should be taken away. Those who knew her and her admirable character, and they are many in her old home, will sincerely mourn her death.
