Ana Rosalia Ingas-Murphy came into this world August 27, 1933, being born in Juan Francisco Salaberry Hospital, Buenos Aires, Argentina and left us May 14, 2014, having passed away at Beaumont Baptist Hospital, Beaumont, TX, from a long illness.

Ana, "Anita" to her friends, was the 4th of 5 children born to Ramon Italo Ingas (from San Sebastian, Spain) and Vincenta Tuozzo Blotta (from Naples, Italy). She was orphaned at 7 years of age, when her parents were tragically killed in a car accident while on vacation with another couple in La Plata, Argentina, February 1940. Anita was raised by her maternal aunt and uncle Catalina and Francisco Blotta. Her Aunt Catalina would pass in 1950. She lived a very aristocratic and privileged lifestyle provided by her Tio Francisco from his prolific medical practice as an ENT Specialist. She would get her aspiration to join the medical field from him.

Ana would graduate from high school in 1952, but had to relocate to Naples, IT. with Tio Francisco in 1953 during the political and civil unrest in Argentina and she returned to Buenos Aires in 1954. She tried to enter medical school, but was told she could not because her vision was too poor. From 1959-1963 she attended and graduated from nursing school in Buenos Aires.

In 1964, Ana immigrated to the United States and settled in Beaumont, TX. She worked as an ICU/CCU nurse for many years at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She married Gerald Joseph Krebs in Beaumont and had two sons. She would divorce and marry Joseph Reece Murphy in 1974 and have a daughter. She and Joe would travel around the US, Europe and Africa because of his work.

She is predeceased by her parents and brothers Oscar and Ramon, aunt & uncle Mrs. Catalina & Dr. Francisco Blotta, her husbands, Gerald Joseph Krebs and Joseph Reece Murphy IV. She is survived by sons David Mark & wife Cassandra and Daniel Martin Krebs, daughter Leana-Jo Murphy-Hover & husband Carl, and step-children of Clan Murphy; grandchildren: Logan Heath Krebs, Amanda Danielle Moore, Danielle Denise Krebs; close friends: Esther and Ralph Jones, Dorkas Carlton, Abbie and Jean Baradar, Wesley Hunnicut, and numerous family members and friends in Argentina and the U.S.

The family wishes to thank the staff and residents of Emeritus at Dowlen Oaks Assisted Living, who became her new friends and neighbors and the caring staff of Altus Hospice and Beaumont Baptist Hospital for making her last days peaceful ones.

At Ana's request, her body has been donated to medical science.
A memorial service will be conducted at Emeritus at Dowlen Oaks, 2250 Dowlen Rd., Beaumont, TX. Saturday, June 8, 2014 @ 2pm. Revs. D.M. Krebs & Jimmy Sligert presiding.
