Isaiah M. Klopp, a Lebanon County native with a long record of civic contribution, died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 82. Known to his friends as simply "I.M.", he was retired since 1954 as general manager and treasurer of the Lebanon Hardware Company, with which he was affiliated for 34 years. In 1967 he resigned from the Lebanon School Authority and as vice president of the Peoples National Bank. He was affiliated with the Authority from its inception in 1953 and he had been a director of the bank for many years. Through the years Klopp was also affiliated with the Lebanon City Council on which he served a term and a half; the Lebanon Water Authority, 1945-57: the
Coleman Park and YMCA boards and the Chamber of Commerce. Klopp was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. His parents were the late Jared and Mary Zeller Klopp. Surviving is a niece, Elva, wife of George Hoaster, Camp Hill. [Lebanon Daily News, May 13, 1968, Page 1 & 2]
