Jimbo Herring officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Providence, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove.
Carolyn Jean Essex was born March 20, 1943 in Dyess, Arkansas and passed away in Oak Grove, LA, Monday, May 12, 2014.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lavelle Townsend; son, Monty Townsend; husband, Joseph E. Essex, Sr.; and parents, Virgil and Opal Warren.
Survivors include her sons, Joey Essex Jr. and wife, Michelle of Washington, PA; Matt Essex and wife, Jill of New Philadelphia, MS; step children, Billy Jo Essex of Delhi, LA; and Debbie Keene and husband, Dudley of Lake Providence, LA; grandchildren, Lauren Townsend, Brandon Townsend, Jackson Townsend, Aiden Townsend, Kylie Bridegroom, Lane Essex, Jo Crain, Oliver Crain, Chloe Parrino, Ian Parrino, Carson Essex and Haven Essex; step grandchildren, Katie Essex, Brittany Essex, Carleigh Parker, Lawson Keene and Maddie Keene; one great-grandson; Brothers, Virgil "Buddy" Warren, Jr. and wife, Marilyn of Oak Grove, LA; William "Butch" Warren and wife, Wanda of Swartz, LA; Sisters, Chris Franklin and husband, Robert of West Monroe, LA; Pat Murray and husband, Harry of Ruston, LA; Cindy Stoffer and husband, Roger of Sterlington, LA; Le Anna Bridges and husband, Wendell of Pioneer, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
