Mr. Thomas Carvell Bray of Greensboro died Monday, November 27, 2006, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, at Starmount Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Odom and Rev. Mary McNeil officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Bray was a member of Starmount Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and did a great deal of volunteer work for the church. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years. He was awarded two Bronze Stars in World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Stafford Bray of the home; daughters, Lynne B. Crye and husband, Jim of Greensboro and Karen B. Estes and husband, Jim of Whittier; two grandchildren, Christopher Lee and Austin Lee; two great-grandchildren, Mayson Elizabeth Lee and Justin Thomas Lee; sister, Ada Schevitz of Douglas, Ga.; and brother, David Bray and wife, Evelyn of Callahan, Fla.

He was predeceased by three brothers; three sisters; and his parents.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Gathering Space of the church.

Flowers will be accepted and memorials may be sent to Greener Pastures, 3803 Robert Poacher Way, Greensboro, N.C. 27410 or Hospice & Palliative Care, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
