Maybelle Kelly, 83, of Ligonier, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, in Mountain View Specialty Care. She was born Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1922, in Altoona, a daughter of the late George and Violet Waite Curry. She was a very active member of the Heritage United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Walter B. Kelly; two daughters, Marsha Wilkinson, of McKeesport, and Janis Shearer and her husband, Thomas R., of Ligonier; a son, Thomas W. Kelly and his wife, Phyllis, of Newport, R.I.; eight grandchildren, Robert Wilkinson and his wife, Mary, Beth Johnson, Scott Wilkinson and his wife, Kristine, Jeffrey Shearer and his wife, Julie, Amy Shearer Amond and her husband, Chad, Kerry Kelly McDonough and her husband, John, Colleen Kelly McCoy and her husband, Michael, and Kevin Kelly and his fiancee, Dawn Piper; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Nicholas, Matthew and Emily Wilkinson, Madelyn and Katelyn Amond, Emma Shearer and Ella McDonough; and two sisters, Marie Bickerstaff and her husband, Tony, of North Huntingdon, and June Bennett and her husband, Ray, of Youngwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Chester Curry. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the at the J. PAUL McCRACKEN FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, where a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Revs. Frederick C. Vanderhoff and Benton McKee co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Heritage United Methodist Church.
