Born in Shamokin March 2, 1925, he was a son of the late Walter Zyniewicz and Pauline Szczesny. He was a lifelong resident of Shamokin.
He attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School and was a graduate of Coal Township High School.
Clem was inducted into the U.S. Army July 20, 1943, from New Cumberland. He served with the Medical Detachment of the 150th Infantry Regiment as a medical aid. During his service, he received the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal and the Victory Medal. He received an honorable discharge Feb. 12, 1946.
He was employed by the railroad.
He was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Church, now Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin.
Clem was the last of his immediate family, but is survived by two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Dubitsky, Mary Zyniewicz and Victoria Milek, and four brothers, John, Joseph, Walter and Francis Zyniewicz.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mother Cabrini Church. Burial will be held in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. There will be no viewing or hours of calling. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin, at 9:45 a.m. Thursday for memorial mass.
