Dorah Lee Allen was born June 27, 1971 in Houston, Tx to the union of Robert Allen and Betty Jo Allen. Dorah was a member of St. Mary Baptist Church. She graduated from John H. Reagan High School in '89. She served in the United States Army after graduating from high school. She received a diploma in Legal Assistance at the International Correspondence School. In 2005 she received her Associates in Arts at Houston Community College then transferred to Texas Southern University where she then graduated in 2010, receiving her Bachelors of Science Degree. She then continued her career at Park Plaza Hospital as a Registered Nurse.

Dorah departed life on May 10, 2014. She will live on through those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Ora Thomas, grandfather Hilman Thomas, uncle Larry Thomas, aunt Rosemary Harris, aunt Mary Thomas, uncle Walter Singleton, niece Sha'Keyra Morris and nephew Dwayne Morris Jr.

She is survived by mother Betty Allen, father Robert Allen, grandmother Dorah Eagleton, grandfather Robert Eagleton, sister Shelia Thomas, brother Cedgregory Allen, and her daughters Dei'Arrah Allen-Pool, Dei'Sharrah Allen-Benson, and Dei'Kyrrah Allen-Battle.
