Carole Ann Kane, 72, passed away May 14, 2014. She was born June 25, 1941 in Amsterdam, N.Y., and resided in Gloversville, N.Y. Carole was a graduate of the University of N.Y. at Plattsburgh with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She was a registered school nurse teacher. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Peter Paciolla. Carole is survived by her husband, of 52 years, Ed; her brother, Thomas Paciolla of Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Joyce Paciolla; niece, Christy Paciolla of Las Vegas; nephew, Ed Paciolla of Atlanta; and numerous cousins. Carole was a world- traveler as she accompanied her A.F. Colonel husband on his many assignments including a four year tour in the Diplomatic Corps at the American Embassy in Belgrade Yugoslavia. Her responsibilities were varied and she accomplished them superbly. She loved painting, playing golf and bridge at the Los Prados Golf and Country Club. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Palm Mortuary -Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Burial will be at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, May 22, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
