Frances Irene Pilloud, 86, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Bemidji. Funeral services were at Calvary Lutheran Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She was born May 9, 1915, in North Dakota to Paul and Elida Kjensrud. She attended North Dakota schools and was confirmed in the Lutheran church. She married Joseph "Earl " Pilloud of North Dakota and they lived in N.D., raised horses and did some farming.

In 1948, the family moved to Pinewood where they farmed and also harvested Christmas trees after they retired. They moved to Bemidji where she worked in nursing and her husband did carpenter work.

She loved music, dancing and animals. She also enjoyed puzzles, card playing, rodeos, and ladies' aid and church activities. They attended bith Catholic and Lutheran churches. She was a person of great faith, enjoyed people, had a tremendous sense of humor and valued other people's views.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Reuben Kjensrud and Russell Kjensrud; and a grand-daughter.
