In 1933, Norman met Alyce Jorgensen in Preston, Idaho. That same year they married in Pocatello, Idaho, and later solemnized their marriage in the Logan LDS Temple. They had two children, Lee and Susan.
Norman died in 1984 in Ogden, Utah and was buried in the Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden.
