RIO — Donald L. Jameson, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena.
He was born on May 25, 1932, in Lodi, to Julius and Gladys (Thompson) Jameson. He graduated from Rio High School in 1951. He was a farmer for 44 years and loved working on the land.
Survivors include brother, Marvin (Margaret) Jameson of Rio; sister, Gloria Lang of Rio; sister-in-law, Janice Jameson; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Julius Jameson Jr.; sister, Shirley Leistikow; brothers-in-law, Richard Lang and Russell Leistikow; sister-in-law, Barbara Jameson; and nephew, Richard Lang Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. at REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH in Rio, with the Rev. Matt Kruse officiating. Interment will take place at Dekorra Lutheran Cemetery.
