Wichita Resident Since 1928 Dies
Mrs. May Albright Markwell, 71, a resident of Wichita for the past 27 years, died Wednesday morning at her home at 1139 Waverly Dr.
Mrs. Markwell was born in Kingman County, Kan., Feb. 26, 1884. She was married March 3, 1907, to Alex Markwell on a farm south of Cleveland, Kan.
After residing for several years in Muskogee, Okla., the family moved to Wichita in 1928.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Markwell is survived by a son, Dick R., Madison, Wis., and two daughters, Mrs. Clyde H. Young, Hutchinson, Kan., and Miss Katherine Markwell, Arlington, Va.
She was a member of West Side Christian Church for a number of years and at the time of her death was a member of Mt. Olive Christian Church.
Services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at Gordon Mortuary. Dr. L. Hekhuis of Wichita University will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
