Former Meadowbrook resident Sharon Kay Burgess, 58, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, after a lengthy illness. She was born April 7,1947, in Carrollton to Perry and Juanita (Gilbert) Woods. She married Don Burgess on March 28, 1966, in Benld. He survives. Sharon was a 1965 graduate of Civic Memorial High School in Bethslto, Illinois. A homemaker, she was a member of the Meadowbrook Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, surviving are a daughter, Tammy Olivier, and her husband, Mark, of Denver; a son, Troy Lynn Burgess of Houston; four grandchildren, Ashley, Cody and Christine Olivier of Denver and Kalie Burgess of Houston; two godchildren, Josh and Sam of Atlanta; two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Wood and his wife, Glenda, of Longmont, Colo., and Mark Wood and his wife, Rachelle, of Boulder, Colo.; and two nieces, Jackie and Allie Wood of Boulder. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Klein United Methodist Church in Spring, Texas.
