Wealthy Jane was the middle of 5 children born to Isaac and Martha Malinda (Armstrong) Polmateer. Her siblings were Sarah Ann born 1849, Harvey Clark born 1852, Clara L. born 1858, and Florence Alice born 1863. Wealthy often went by Jane.
Isaac was a carpenter and moved his family from Avoca to Wellsville, back to Avoca and ended up back in Wellsville.
About 1869, Wealthy Jane married Frank Aldrich. Frank was working as a fireman in a shingle mill in 1875. In 1880 he was working in a Saw Mill and after that he worked at odd jobs as a day laborer.
They had four children -
Charles born in 1870 in Wellsville and never married He died in 1933 in Schenectady NY.
Cora May born 1871 in Wellsville and married Herman P. Oliver and had four children. She died in 1871.
Milo Arthur born 1874 in Allegany Co NY. He was married twice. First to Bertha M. Cooper and they divorced. Second married Mae Etta H. He died in 1931.
Frederick "Fred" born 1877 in Wellsville. He married 3 times. First to Grace M. Wilder and they divorced, then he married Huldah J. (Courtright) Teas. They divorced and Fred married Grace again. Then they divorced again.
Frank died in 1913 and in 1920 Wealthy Jane was living with her brother Harvey Polmateer. She died in 1924 and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville, NY.
